The flex hose located on the transmission oil cooler on the 94-98 1⁄2 models is exposed to harsh temperatures because of its location beneath the turbo. The OEM hose contains a check valve that inhibits cooler flow and may stick. The Sun Coast hose is made from 5,000 PSI hydra. hose and eliminates check valve. We recommend replacing the OEM hose whenever the trans is being modified, repaired, or replaced.
