The OEM TCC accumulator spring can fatigue or break due to stress and material quality. Harsh TCC engagement complaints can occur due to breakage of the TCC accumulator spring in the pump assembly. The OEM spring material and design is overstressed in this application. The replacement spring is manufactured from an upgraded material to increase spring strength and resiliency.

Severe wear of the TC limit valve bore results in low oil flow into the converter circuit. We oversize the bore and install the TC limit valve sleeve kit to restore proper release oil pressure.

Severe wear of the TC limit valve bore results in loss of converter front oil pressure. Reduced front oil pressure at low speed and idle will drag the converter lining, causing engine surge, pulsation or stall. Low front oil pressure at cruise affects and limits efficiency, often increasing RPM and reducing fuel economy. If front oil pressure is low enough, the converter lining may drag enough to glaze the lining. A worn TC limit bore contributes to converter drain back issues that delay movement after vehicle sits or awhile.
